What is a Registered Dietitian?

A registered dietitian is a master of all things food related. This is someone who completed a 4-year degree with a bachelor's in nutrition or food science. Then completed a 1 year, supervised internship at an ACEND accredited institution. Finally, successfully passed the RD board exam to complete the certification. RD's can work in a variety of fields, from medical nutrition therapy in a clinical setting, to food service, and in the community.
